Water Back-up Systems
Municipal Back-up System
This is a simple system that allows you to fill a tank with municipal water and store it for when you most needed.
The water is fed to your house or irrigation from the tank by means of a small booster pump.
Borehole Back-up System
This system allows you to store water from your borehole in tanks.
You can then pump water straight from the tanks using a booster pump.
The initial cost is higher than a municipal system. Ultimately, you will be off the grid using a system like this
Rainwater Harvesting
Rainwater harvesting can be done independently from the other two systems mentioned. Or can be attached to these systems to help store more water.
This is a simple system, where water from your house gutters is simply redirected straight into a water storage tank to be used when needed.
